The City of North Las Vegas stretches across the northern rim of the Las Vegas Valley covering more than 78 square miles. It earned the designation of the number one fastest growing large city in the U.S. in 2006. A 30 minute drive from your house to Mt. Charleston allows you the opportunity to snow ski from November to April at Lee Canyon. Hiking, camping and other activities can be enjoyed year round.

North Las Vegas offers recreational activities for the entire family.  Neighborhood and community parks, school joint-use parks, a sports complex and two full-service recreation centers are just some of the perks of living in North Las Vegas. Residential real estate, condominiums and land can all be found here. The Aliante Master Planned Development will include more than 400 additional acres of parks and trail systems when it is completed. Aliante is a master-planned community located in North Las Vegas. Many different builders are building at this time in Aliante and various other areas in North Las Vegas. Each builder brings their own unique features to the houses they build. The Terrasini project in Aliante by Pulte Homes is the only condo project in Aliante. There are only a few condos available in Terrasini.

The City of North Las Vegas has focused on economic development and has attracted numerous businesses. The Silver Mesa Recreation Center is also located in North Las Vegas and has programs for toddlers on up including pre-school, arts & crafts, sports, fitness, dance and music. Fitness rooms with modern equipment help citizens with their fitness level and strength at both facilities. Close to Hoover Dam, Lake Mead National Recreational Area, Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, Mt. Charleston and the Las Vegas Speedway, there is something for all ages.   North Las Vegas is part of the Clark County School District, the 6th largest school district in the U.S. The Parks & Recreation Department provides the Safekey program, before and after school supervised recreation, available onsite at schools in North Las Vegas. The main campus of the Community College of Southern Nevada is located in North Las Vegas.
